Berlin Wall

She grew up in the 60’s, when life was so sweet.
Politicians got drunk, we were dancin’ in the streets.
And she was just a little girl, goin’ to high school,
hangin’ with her friends, and tryin’ to be cool.

And she grew up, she grew up,
in that little town,
right behind the Berlin wall.

Time went by, much, much too fast,
She couldn’t understand why the future became the past.
And she became a lady, the talk of the town,
but all she could think is when will it come down?

And she grew up, she grew up,
In that little town,
right behind the Berlin wall.

Then came that day, when everyone would say
Its time to end the game, its time to really play.
From everywhere they came,
their thoughts were the same,
tear the Berlin wall down, and make Berlin one town.

They tore it down, they tore it down,
they tore it down,
they tore down the Berlin wall,
the Berlin wall,
the Berlin wall.
They tore it down, they tore it down,
they tore it down,
they tore down the Berlin wall,
the Berlin wall,
the Berlin wall.
